I'm really not sure how you could make the metal reinforcing piece to bend that much. The black finish and glass shelves looks very nice, but the extra seams for the extender piece are not as clean as they could be. The top shelf does not provide enough height for my center channel speaker.
I don't think the sizes of my speaker and receiver are larger than normal.Edit: The top shelf has 6 1/4" vertical clearance, and the bottom shelf has 9 1/4" vertical clearance. My receiver is wedged in on the top shelf, rubbing against the screws as I slid it in.I think the AV components would fit well if you have an all in one system.
I have a 61" Samsung DLP TV on my stand. The problem is the shelves are not adjustable.
Both shelves are 17" deep. I have not noticed any sag as some other reviews have talked about.
The Samsung DLP TVs look very good on this stand, because the stand was designed with essentially the same footprint as the TV.For my AV components, the shelves are deep enough.
IT LOOKS WONDERFUL AND FITS JUST RIGHT WITH MY NEW 61" SAMSUNG TV, ALSO PURCHASED THROUGH AMAZON.NICE AND STURDY. MY SON-IN-LAW PUT IT TOGETHER WITH NO TROUBLE. Samsung TR-500X3BX Adjustable 50-, 56- and 61-Inch DLP TV Stand I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS TV STAND. ALTHOUGH I COULD NOT PUT IT TOGETHER MYSELF, THAT IS ONLY BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF EXPERTISE IN THIS AREA.
The middle sags a little bit but it looks great. Overall a pretty nice stand. Only problem is there is not much support for surround sound tuner, cable box etc.
TV sits on it fine and stand seems pretty stable but should be a little deeper to have a firmer base. I recently purchased this stand for my Samsung 61" DLP. TV with this stand looks great together and thus the 4 star rating I gave it. Price should be less. It takes about 1 hour to assemble and looks great. Shelves aren't that deep and neither is the top stand for the tv.
It is an attractive unit that has gotten a few positive comments from visitors as well. Quick and easy to assemble, as noted by others due to the open leg design with no front center support it is not the most stable unit if you plan on moving it around a lot I would look for a more solid unit. I have only one place in my linving room / theatre room where my TV will go due to the surround system so it works perfect for my needs.
